Libya: Agreement to Establish Joint Border Security Center with UN

Libyan security officials across Libya have agreed with the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) to establish a joint border security center.
The center aims to facilitate communication and information sharing between various entities involved in securing Libya’s borders, combating terrorism, and addressing illegal migration.
This agreement comes as a culmination of a series of meetings and consultations held in Tunis and Benghazi, with the participation of representatives from the Security Working Group for Libya, which includes the African Union, Italy, France, Turkey, and the United Kingdom.
