The Sudanese Consul General, Abdul Rahman Mohammed, sent a letter of thanks, appreciation, and gratitude to the General Commander of the Libyan Armed Forces, Marshal Khalifa Haftar. In the letter, he praised the great efforts he made and the support and assistance he provided to his Sudanese brothers during their displacement from the events taking place in Sudan. He expressed his wishes for the continued love and affection between the Libyan and Sudanese peoples.
The letter stated:
“It pleases me to extend to you abundant thanks and great appreciation for all that you have provided to our Sudanese brothers and sons who have been displaced to their second country, dear and beloved Libya.
They were fortunate, thanks to your lofty instructions and generous directives, to receive all care and attention, as various services were provided to them.
And while all of that is recorded in the register of your giving and the pages of your deeds, your noble stance in providing relief and shelter to our Sudanese brothers in Ajdabiya, and providing them with shelter and sustenance, was a new testament to your generosity, nobility, and chivalry, which are authentic values rooted in the conscience of the generous Libyan people, who remain dear and precious to the people of Sudan.”
The Consul added in his letter that the General Consulate of the Republic of Sudan in Benghazi extends its thanks and appreciation for all of that, praying to God Almighty to accept your good deeds and to perpetuate the bonds of affection and love between the Libyan and Sudanese peoples.
