Libyan Parliament Speaker Counselor Aguila Saleh and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Dr. Abdul Hadi Al-Huwaij met on Saturday with Dr. Cheikh Gadio, President of the Pan-African Institute for Strategies (specializing in Peace, Security, and Governance), who previously served as Senegal’s Foreign Minister.
The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between Libya and African nations in strategic areas, particularly supporting regional peace, strengthening security, and sharing expertise in good governance. Discussions also addressed pressing regional issues, with special emphasis on the pivotal role of African states in resolving the Libyan crisis. This aligns with a vision that integrates Libyan national security with regional stability.
The talks are part of Libya’s diplomatic efforts to bolster partnerships with African organizations this comes amid ongoing attempts to revive Libya’s influence on the continent after years of political and security challenges.
