Libya’s Acting Minister of Oil and Gas, Khalifa Abdulsadeq, and the Chairman of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Masoud Suleiman, participated in the CERAWeek Energy and Investment Summit held in Houston, USA.
During the summit, 22 exploration blocks for oil and gas were presented, covering offshore and onshore areas with estimated resources exceeding 10 billion barrels of oil equivalent.
The offered areas include 128,714 km² of offshore zones distributed across Sabratha, Sirte, and the Eastern Region, and 106,553 km² of onshore areas, encompassing Ghadames, Murzuq, Sirte, and parts of eastern Libya. This marks the first bidding round of its kind since 2007, aiming to attract new investments and boost oil and gas production in Libya.
