Mhamad Al-Na’em, the spokesperson for the Municipal Guard, announced the launch of a campaign targeting all types of toys that resemble firearms, such as pistols and rifles, from local markets across the country.
In press statements, Al-Na’em affirmed that the Municipal Guard patrols deployed extensively have already begun confiscation operations, emphasizing toys that fire projectiles, such as beads or darts, due to the direct threat they pose to children’s safety.
The spokesperson clarified that this national campaign includes all branches of the Municipal Guard in Libya. It calls on citizens and parents to fulfill their responsibility in ensuring the safety of their children by fully cooperating with the authorities in disposing of these dangerous toys and refraining from purchasing them during Eid al-Fitr celebrations.
