The German Embassy in Libya officially announced the opening of its new headquarters in the capital, Tripoli, embodying Germany’s commitment to supporting and strengthening the relations with Libya, underscoring its ongoing endeavor to enhance its effective diplomatic presence in the country.
The official opening ceremony was attended by the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in the Government of National Unity, Al-Taher Al-Ba’our, alongside a distinguished group of diplomatic and political figures. The German Embassy affirmed in a statement that the relocation to the new premises in Tripoli serves as a clear and strong indication reflecting the great importance Germany attaches to Libya and its people, and emphasizes its continuous pursuit of deepening the bonds of joint cooperation in various fields of mutual interest, whether political, economic, or cultural. The Embassy pointed out that Germany, since the reopening of its embassy in Tripoli in 2021 by the former Foreign Minister Heiko Maas, has been working diligently to expand the scope of cooperation with its Libyan partners across various sectors, within the framework of its firm commitment to supporting efforts aimed at achieving peace stability, and sustainable prosperity in Libya.
