The Branches Support Unit of Libya’s Illegal Immigration Control Agency conducted an extensive campaign today, Tuesday, targeting Abyar area and the surrounding suburbs Benghazi. This campaign resulted in the apprehension of several migrants who do not possess legal documentation and are in violation of the country’s applicable residency laws and regulations. A responsible security source clarified that this security campaign is to implement the plan of combating illegal immigration, which is considered a priority for Libyan national security. All individuals found to be in violation were immediately referred to the main Benghazi detention center, while all necessary legal measures will be taken against in accordance with the law.
