The Chairman of the Board of Directors of NOC, Masoud Suleiman, held a series of meetings in London with the heads and representatives of a number of major international oil and energy companies, most notably the American giant ExxonMobil.
These intensive meetings took place on the sidelines of the launch of the third phase of the public exploration bidding round, organized by the NOC in London, which witnessed a wide attendance from leading global companies operating in the energy and oil sectors.
During these fruitful discussions with the Chairman of the Board, representatives of the global companies closely reviewed the nature of operations and existing investments in Libyan oil companies and fields, the current and future areas for development and improvement, in addition to the ambitious strategies adopted by the NOC to increase production rates.
The talks also addressed aspects of joint cooperation in various energy production fields and associated services, where the company representatives were briefed on the operational requirements and needs within the Libyan oil and gas market, expressing interest in establishing long-term strategic partnerships with the Libyan oil sector.
