Recent Egyptian government data has revealed the value of Egypt’s exports of new domestically manufactured cars to the Libyan market during 2024.
According to the Egyptian data, Libya ranked seventh among the countries importing cars manufactured in Egypt last year, with a total value of $5.9 million US dollars.
The government data showed that Egypt exported a total of 6,671 cars last year, with a total value of $191 million US dollars, compared to $91.9 million US dollars in 2023, recording a significant increase of 107%. The United Kingdom topped the list of countries importing cars from Egypt with a value of $89.8 million US dollars, followed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with $37.2 million US dollars, and then the United Arab Emirates with imports worth $16.9 million US dollars. Turkey came in fourth place with total imports of $12.5 million US dollars, while Germany and Hong Kong shared the fifth and sixth places with an equal value of $7.5 million US dollars each.
