The south-eastern region branch of the Anti-Illegal Migration Agency, specifically its office based in Kufra, has overseen a large-scale deportation operation involving 233 migrants of Sudanese nationality. This operation was carried out in strict accordance with directives issued by the agency’s national head, Major General Salah Mahmoud Al-Khafaifi.
Before the deportation, extensive efforts were undertaken to monitor and document the situation of these migrants. Investigations revealed the existence of security restrictions and criminal records against a number of those deported.

Medical tests confirmed that some of the individuals are suffering from serious and highly contagious diseases, necessitating the implementation of additional precautionary measures to ensure the safety of all involved. A further group of these migrants was found to be implicated in crimes related to human trafficking networks and illegal immigration.
This operation was conducted under the direct supervision of the head of the agency’s south-eastern branch, Colonel Mohammed Ali Al-Fadil, and in close coordination with the acting head of the Kufra office, Brigadier General Rashed Al-Sharif. This step is part of the ongoing efforts undertaken by the Libyan security services to control the situation of irregular migrants present within the country and to curb illegal activities associated with the phenomenon of irregular migration. The Media Office of the agency confirmed that the deportation was carried out in accordance with the legal procedures.
