Dr. Mahmoud Al-Warfalli, an associate professor at Benghazi University, has received a formal invitation to participate as a prominent lecturer in an advanced international programme on “Evidence-Based Medicine: Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis.” The programme is being organised by Anchor University in collaboration with its Centre for Training in Global Health.
This involvement forms part of a specialised scientific series titled “Leveraging Dry Laboratory Approaches to Advance Research in Life Sciences,” featuring an elite group of academics and researchers from leading international universities and institutions, including the United Kingdom, Canada, and Nigeria.
Dr. Al-Warfalli is notably the first Libyan academic to be invited to participate in this specific programme within the centre, reflecting the international academic community’s appreciation for Libyan expertise in the fields of medicine and public health, particularly in evidence-based scientific research.
For his part, Dr. Al-Warfalli expressed his immense pride in this invitation, stressing its significance in bolstering academic cooperation between Benghazi University and international institutions, and its active role in exchanging expertise and advancing scientific research in Libya.
The programme is scheduled to commence on 28 June 2025 and is primarily aimed at researchers and postgraduate students in medicine and life sciences. It is regarded as one of the pioneering and innovative scientific initiatives across the African continent.
