Intensive trials to select eligible athletes for Libya’s national Taekwondo teams for the 2025 sports season commenced on Saturday at the Tripoli Grand Sports Hall. These trials witnessed broad participation from various clubs and sports bodies across the country, reflecting growing interest in the sport.
The primary aim of these qualifiers is to select an elite group of outstanding athletes across three age categories: cadets, juniors, and seniors, in preparation for effectively representing Libya in upcoming major international and regional competitions.
The competitions are being conducted under the direct and strict supervision of the Libyan Taekwondo Federation, with the presence of an internationally accredited technical judging panel and a number of qualified and experienced national coaches. These trials are taking place in a highly professional organisational atmosphere, enhancing opportunities for discovering promising new talents and raising the standard of Taekwondo locally, in line with international standards.
