Libya registered a notable presence at the EHCB 2025 Coaches Convention, organised by the Euroleague Head Coaches Board in the Greek capital, Athens. The conference saw the participation of an elite group of the brightest coaching minds in European and global basketball.
Over four days, the convention featured advanced training programmes, interactive workshops, and discussion sessions with leading coaches from the world’s strongest leagues. This provided participants with an exceptional opportunity to learn about the latest concepts, technical, and tactical methods in elite-level coaching.
Libya was represented at this prominent sporting event by five distinguished national coaches: Khalil Shaglouf, Ahmed Al-Ojali, Riyad Youssef, Islam Al-Hali, and Mohamed Al-Waddani.
It is worth noting that the participation of these Libyan coaches was at their own expense, reflecting their deep commitment to developing their professional capabilities and serving Libyan basketball. They expressed their determination to transfer the experience and knowledge gained to Libyan courts, which will positively impact the sport’s local standard.
This participation is part of remarkable individual efforts that reflect the ambition of Libyan cadres to keep pace with continuous international developments
