The management of the Misrata Free Zone has hosted a high-level delegation from the Chinese company “Hoshi”, renowned for its expertise in investing in and developing critical infrastructure, including airports, ports, roads, and railways. The visit aims to explore avenues for cooperation.
During the meeting, held at the Free Zone’s headquarters and attended by Mohamed Raied, head of the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture, along with Alaa El-Din Baba, director of the Zone’s International Coordination and Cooperation Department, and other officials, discussions focused on opportunities to enhance operations at Misrata Port and its logistical facilities. These talks encompassed handling operations and technical support, as part of efforts to boost the port’s efficiency.
According to a statement issued by the Free Zone on Saturday, the Chinese delegation’s visit included a field tour to assess available investment prospects in the logistics services and digital infrastructure sectors. The “Hoshi” delegation also presented its extensive experience in developing and operating numerous ports worldwide, in addition to reviewing existing investment projects within Misrata Free Zone.
