The meeting focused on discussing cooperation opportunities across several vital sectors, including energy, minerals, infrastructure, health, and telecommunications. During the discussion, Dbeibah emphasised his government’s keenness to forge robust economic partnerships with the United States. This, he stated, would open the door for major American companies to participate in Libya’s development and investment projects

The Libyan government team presented a detailed overview of the nation’s economic strategy, valued at approximately $70 billion. This strategy includes ready-to-implement projects in various sectors, aiming to facilitate organised entry for American investments into the Libyan market.
Discussions also touched upon the latest developments in the oil sector, with a particular focus on investment opportunities available in new onshore and offshore blocks. The meeting further addressed the government’s efforts to enhance transparency and ensure sustainable returns, all within the context of stabilising the energy sector
Supporting Stability and Addressing the Palestinian Cause
On the political front, the meeting addressed developments concerning the Palestinian cause. Dbeibah expressed Libya’s strong condemnation of the ongoing aggression on the Gaza Strip, emphasising the urgent need for an immediate cessation of hostilities, the lifting of the blockade, and the protection of civilians from the ravages of war.
For his part, Advisor Massad Boulos affirmed the US administration’s support for stability efforts in Libya. He reiterated Washington’s interest in continuing coordination and expanding areas of cooperation across various sectors.
