Ajdabiya’s Public Morality Protection Division (Morality Police) has intensified its security operations, following directives from Police Chief Major General Mubarak Abu Harara to monitor and address violations of public decency across the city.
The latest campaign targeted several cafés and restaurants, uncovering instances of mixed gatherings between men and women of African nationalities. Authorities also identified Sudanese women working without legal permits or occupational licenses.
Additional infractions related to hygiene standards were recorded, constituting breaches of Libya’s public decency regulations.
The operation led to multiple raids and the apprehension of violators, who were taken in for preliminary legal questioning and placed under investigation. Their cases were referred to the Public Prosecution the following day for further legal proceedings.
Ajdabiya’s Security Directorate reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining public order and urged citizens and business owners to comply with the country’s legal and regulatory frameworks.
