Dozens of young Libyans gathered on Wednesday outside the Crown Prince’s Palace near the Astronomy Dome roundabout in Tripoli, coinciding with the arrival of Massad Boulos—Middle East and Africa adviser to U.S. President Donald Trump—at Mitiga Airport. The demonstrators called for the ousting of the Government of National Unity.

Protesters held banners rejecting foreign interference and condemning the worsening economic conditions. They voiced strong opposition to any plans to resettle foreign nationals in Libya and demanded the withdrawal of foreign forces from the country.

Slogans on placards included: “No to resettlement,” “No to displacement,” “Libya is not for sale,” and “The corrupt are looting our wealth.”
The demonstrators urged swift general elections and the formation of a unified national government. They also expressed skepticism toward the United Nations’ role in Libya’s crisis, insisting that sovereign decisions must be made solely by Libyans, free from external influence.
