The United States Embassy in Libya has categorically denied reports suggesting that Washington is seeking to relocate residents of Gaza to Libyan territory.
In a statement posted on its official social media page, the embassy described the allegations as “entirely false,” asserting that there are no such plans under consideration.
The denial comes amid a surge in speculation and rumors fueled by the escalating crisis in Gaza. International efforts to broker a ceasefire are ongoing, while local and global actors warn against exploiting humanitarian conditions to promote forced displacement or alternative resettlement schemes.
