Libya has been ranked as the third-largest African importer of Turkish goods in the first half of 2025, according to figures released Friday by the Turkish Exporters Assembly. Ankara’s exports to the continent totaled approximately $10 billion during this period.
Morocco topped the list with imports worth $1.8 billion, followed by Egypt at $1.6 billion. Libya’s imports reached $1.3 billion, surpassing Tunisia ($554.1 million), South Africa ($303.5 million), and Nigeria ($242 million).
Libya’s imports from Turkey span a wide range of sectors, including ready-made garments, jewelry, metals, food products, carpets, electrical equipment, grains, flour, and furniture, reflecting the country’s growing consumer demand and infrastructure needs.
