India’s Ministry of External Affairs has issued a travel advisory urging citizens to avoid visiting Libya and several other conflict-ridden countries due to escalating security risks.
In a statement released this week, the ministry identified Libya, Yemen, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and Myanmar as high-risk destinations, citing deteriorating safety conditions and the presence of ongoing internal unrest.
According to a report by Travel and Tour World, these nations are grappling with armed conflicts and political instability, significantly increasing the danger for foreign visitors, particularly in hotspots where violence remains prevalent.
The advisory calls for Indian nationals to cancel all non-essential travel plans to the listed countries and urges those already in affected areas to remain vigilant and closely monitor developments.
New Delhi’s warning aligns with its broader strategy to safeguard citizens abroad amid mounting regional volatility and intensifying security challenges worldwide.
