Libya’s Attorney General, Counselor Al-Siddiq Al-Sour, has issued directives mandating daily inspections of fuel distribution operations across the country, in a move aimed at enforcing compliance with contractual regulations and curbing violations.
In a formal communication to regional prosecution offices, Al-Sour instructed prosecutors to document all infractions committed by fuel distributors and to initiate legal and investigative procedures against offenders. The directive underscores the need for rigorous oversight to ensure transparency and protect consumer rights.
The attorney general also ordered that end-of-day reports be submitted detailing the regularity of fuel marketing activities. These reports are intended to monitor the integrity of distribution channels and prevent disruptions or manipulation in the supply chain.
