A delegation of Libyan parliamentarians took part in the 17th General Assembly of the Arab Scout Parliamentarians’ Union, held in Salalah, Oman. The delegation included Ismail Mohamed Bashir, Souad Abdullah Al-Shalli, Abdelkader Heiba, and Fawzia Abu Ghaliya, all members of the Libyan House of Representatives and affiliated with the union.
The meetings brought together representatives from Arab parliaments and prominent figures from both parliamentary and scouting circles. Discussions focused on the union’s general secretariat report and a series of initiatives aimed at shaping future strategies to strengthen the role of Arab parliamentarians in supporting and empowering the scouting movement at national and regional levels.
The Libyan MPs also participated in the closing ceremony of the Second Arab Forum for Scout and Guide Veterans, held at the Sultan Qaboos Centre for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah
