The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has formally added Benghazi International Stadium to its roster of approved venues for continental competitions, following the completion of upgrades and full compliance with Category 3 standards.

This inclusion places Benghazi International Stadium alongside Tripoli International Stadium and the Martyrs of Benina Stadium as certified Libyan facilities eligible to host matches involving national teams and clubs in African tournaments.

The move reflects CAF’s support for Libyan football. It underscores the Libyan Football Federation’s commitment to providing optimal conditions for home-ground fixtures and competitive participation at both continental and international levels.
