The Fifth National Scout Camp officially kicked off in the pine forest of Jadda’im, marking its return after a 26-year pause. The event drew more than 3,000 participants, including scouts, leaders, pioneers, girls, and cubs from various scout commissions across Libya.
Scout delegations from Tunisia, Algeria, and Sudan also took part, alongside representatives from the Islamic Scout Movement and the Arab Scout Union, adding a distinct regional dimension to the gathering.
The camp will run for a full week at the Scout Training Center in Jadda’im, featuring a diverse program of training, cultural, and scouting activities, as well as field exercises designed to sharpen participants’ skills and foster teamwork and cultural exchange.
The opening ceremony took place in a festive atmosphere, attended by local and Arab scout leaders, officially launching the event, which is scheduled to conclude at the end of August.
