Intensive preparations are underway at the Jouddaiem forest for the launch of National Heritage Day, an event held as part of the Fifth National Scout Camp. This camp is considered a significant and influential scouting event in Libya.
The event aims to instill a sense of belonging and strengthen national identity, while highlighting the cultural diversity across all regions of Libya. It also provides a unique opportunity for participating Arab scout delegations to learn about and experience Libya’s rich heritage.
According to Leader Mohammed Muammar, a member of the organizing committee, National Heritage Day serves as a window for new generations and foreign delegations to discover the richness and diversity of Libyan culture. He affirmed that the accompanying events were carefully planned to reflect a spirit of authenticity and to showcase Libya’s standing in Arab and international scouting forums.
The program features various exhibitions showcasing handicrafts, traditional costumes, and artifacts, as well as artistic and folkloric performances.
The organizing committee confirmed that all working teams are intensifying their efforts to ensure the event is presented in a manner befitting the Libyan scouting movement and reflects its capacity to organize major national events.
