The Security and Military Arrangements Committee of the Presidential Council has affirmed its commitment to its duties under the supervision of Presidential Council Chairman, Mohamed al-Menfi, in light of the recent military movements in the capital, Tripoli.
The committee emphasized the need to respect the principle of legitimacy and the ceasefire, warning against any movements or deployments outside official frameworks. It called on all units to return to their designated barracks and refrain from any unilateral actions that could threaten citizens’ security or obstruct the political and security process.
The committee clarified that it continues to coordinate with the Chief of Staff and security agencies to ensure stability. It stressed that Libya will not be a ground for imposing will by force, and that the solution lies in adhering to agreed-upon pathways and fostering cooperation among national institutions.
