The National Bloc of House of Representatives Candidates has called for immediate measures to halt the military escalation in the capital, Tripoli.
In a statement, the bloc condemned the military movements in Tripoli, asserting that these aggressive acts contradict international efforts to achieve a peaceful resolution to conflicts. It emphasized that military escalation will only lead to further destruction and threaten the lives of innocent civilians.
The bloc also welcomed the briefing by the UN Envoy to the Security Council on efforts to unify sovereign institutions and the announcement of a roadmap for holding elections. It explained that these steps are essential for promoting a genuine democratic path in the country and represent a crucial move toward building a stable future for the Libyan people.
The statement stressed the importance of international, regional, and local cooperation to achieve these goals, and called on the international community to take immediate action to stop these military movements and find lasting solutions to the conflicts.
