Al Ahli Tripoli, the African basketball champion, has entered the final phase of its preparations for the Basketball Club World Cup by arriving in Tunis on Tuesday for a closed training camp. The team is set to travel to Singapore for the global tournament, which kicks off on September 18.
The coaching staff is expected to join the squad, while the professional players will arrive gradually as part of the final preparations. The team roster has seen two notable absences: player Ghaith Al-Rahman, who will miss the tournament due to his wedding, and Ahmed Al-Fallah, who is sidelined by injury.
Al Ahli Tripoli is making history as the first Libyan club to qualify for the Basketball Club World Cup, following its victory in the African Clubs Championship earlier this year.
