Al-Khoms city hosted the Khoms Mini Taekwondo Championship last Friday, organized by the Taekwondo sub-union (Central Region).
The Scarface Sports Hall welcomed prominent clubs and halls, including Al-Khoms Club, Al-Reef Club, Scarface Sports Hall, Al-Tamayuz Sports Hall, and Al-Akadimiya Al-Khaddra Hall.
The matches lasted for eight continuous hours. Competitors from various age groups delivered powerful performances that reflected their high skill level and their commitment to the genuine spirit of Taekwondo, including discipline and mutual respect among participants.
This championship is part of a series of mini-events announced by the Libyan General Taekwondo Federation through its Central Region sub-union. The initiative is aimed at expanding the sport’s base and enhancing its presence in Libyan cities.
The organizing committee commended the continuous support of the sub-union’s head, Mahmoud Al-Deeb, and his ongoing efforts to develop the sport of Taekwondo at all levels. It also extended its gratitude to the participating clubs and the spectators who attended and contributed to the event’s success.
