The emergency department at the Surman Teaching Hospital received approximately 80 migrants who were rescued from the sea by the Security Threats Agency, in cooperation with the Red Crescent branches in Surman and Sabratha.
According to the hospital’s management, the migrants received immediate first aid and necessary medical care upon their arrival. Initial examinations confirmed that their health conditions were stable, with no deaths recorded among them.
This intervention is part of the joint humanitarian efforts by security agencies, medical teams, and relief organizations, all aimed at protecting lives and providing care to migrants who face grave dangers during their attempts to cross the sea.
