The Libya Al-Khair voluntary medical convoy has arrived at Waddan General Hospital in the Jufrah municipality, as part of a collaborative effort between state institutions and civil society. Over the course of three consecutive days—morning and evening—the convoy is offering free medical services, led by a distinguished team of consultants and specialists across multiple disciplines.
The initiative was warmly welcomed by residents, who expressed their gratitude for the relief it brings, especially in sparing patients the hardship of traveling to distant cities. Such journeys often involve high financial costs and dangerous road conditions that have tragically claimed the lives of many citizens.
Waddan marks the convoy’s third stop in the Jufrah region and its eighteenth nationwide, following visits to cities across western, eastern, southern, and central Libya.
Launched three years ago as a purely volunteer-driven effort with no government funding, the convoy continues to deliver vital healthcare. To date, it has provided medical consultations to over 30,000 patients and performed hundreds of surgical procedures, including endoscopic operations.
