Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Nagy Mohamed Issa, and Deputy Governor Merai Muftah Al-Barassi are attending the 49th session of the Council of Arab Central Bank Governors and Monetary Institutions, held in Tunis on September 17–18. The event is organized by the Arab Monetary Fund in coordination with the Central Bank of Tunisia and under the patronage of Tunisian President Kais Saied.
The summit focuses on key financial challenges facing Arab economies, including the pursuit of monetary and financial stability, strategies for achieving fiscal sustainability amid recurring economic shocks, and managing the impact of oil price fluctuations. Discussions also address the growing threat of imported inflation and the rapid transformation of the digital financial sector, with emphasis on regulatory adaptation and technological integration.
