The General Referee Committee has wrapped up a multi-day training camp in Benghazi aimed at preparing promising young referees, as well as specialists in futsal and beach soccer. Participants were selected from various regions across Libya, reflecting a nationwide effort to elevate officiating standards.
The camp forms part of the committee’s broader strategy to develop a new generation of referees in line with the latest technical and regulatory benchmarks, ensuring readiness for both domestic and international competitions.
The training program included theoretical lectures, practical workshops, and intensive physical and technical drills, all supervised by experienced instructors and refereeing experts. Special emphasis was placed on updated game laws and rule interpretations.
