During a meeting in Tripoli, UNDP presented a visual briefing outlining the projects it supports to advance Libya’s national strategies on climate and environmental issues. The session was attended by Deputy Resident Representative Mohamed Saleh and Sufyan Belkhair, Director of the Ministry’s Department of International Organizations.
Acting Foreign Minister Tahar Al‑Baour reviewed the progress achieved so far, shared his observations on implementation mechanisms, and underlined the importance of strengthening cooperation with UNDP in these fields.
The discussions also addressed Libya’s preparations for the upcoming United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30), scheduled to take place in Brazil in November, with a focus on ensuring effective participation that reflects the country’s priorities on climate and environmental policy
