President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Menfi, met on Wednesday with Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit and his accompanying delegation at the Libyan mission headquarters in New York. The meeting took place as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Arab cooperation and regional alignment on Libya’s political trajectory.
The two sides reviewed the latest developments in Libya’s political landscape and discussed regional and international efforts to support the country’s path toward stability. Both emphasized the importance of a unified Arab role in backing Libya during this critical transitional phase.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of Al-Menfi’s participation in the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, where he is conducting a series of high-level consultations with world leaders and international organizations to mobilize support for Libya’s political roadmap and the organization of national elections
