Libyan Prime Minister Osama Hammad met with the President of Guinea-Bissau, Umaro Sissoco Embaló, and his accompanying delegation in Benghazi. some Libyan ministers were present at the meeting.
Hammad welcomed President Embalo, praising his role in the African continent and stressing the importance of the visit, the strength of relations between the two countries, and the importance of enhancing cooperation in the political, economic, and social fields.
Hammad also praised the steps taken by President Embalo to open a consulate in Benghazi.
The Libyan Prime Minister stressed the need for the African countries to unite in order to achieve security and stability on the continent, especially in light of the common challenges they face, such as security issues, economic development, and combating extremism, terrorism, and illegal immigration.
He pointed out that the Libyan government is working side by side with the House of Representatives and the General Command of the Armed Forces to achieve this goal.
For his part, President Embaló, expressed his best wishes to the Libyan people, stressing his hope for holding free and fair elections.
