Libya’s Illegal Immigration Control Agency announced today the deportation of a group of undocumented Egyptian migrants to Egypt through the Amssaed border crossing, following the completion of legal procedures for their expulsion. The migrants had previously been held at a detention center east of the capital, Tripoli, according to an official statement from the agency.
The statement clarified that the operation involved providing the deportees with official travel documents in coordination with relevant authorities, facilitating their return to their home country
This step is part of a broader campaign led by Libya’s Interior Ministry in cooperation with neighboring countries to strengthen regional coordination in managing illegal immigration.
