The High National Elections Commission confirmed that voter registration for the upcoming municipal councils elections will remain open during al-Fitr holiday, urging citizens to enroll to ensure their participation in the electoral process.
The commission clarified that registration can be completed electronically by sending an SMS to 17017 containing the citizen’s national ID number and electoral center code, streamlining the process without requiring in-person visits. According to recent statistics, 461,202 voters have registered across 62 municipalities, with 325,272 male and 135,930 female voters, highlighting growing public engagement in the democratic process.
