The Libyan national Muay Thai team has concluded its intensive preparations for participating in the African Championship and the International Open Championship, both of which are hosted by the capital, Tripoli, from April 16th to 19th, with wide representation from several countries
The national team coach, Captain Ahmed Al-Mallahi, affirmed the team’s physical, technical, and mental readiness to engage in the competitions, noting that the preparation proceeded according to the set plan and successfully on all levels.
Al-Mallahi stated: ” I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the President of the Libyan Muay Thai Federation for his unlimited support, which played the biggest role in the success of the preparation period and ensuring an honourable participation for Libya.”
Captain Al-Mallahi also appealed to the Libyan sports fans and Muay Thai enthusiasts in particular to attend the events of the two championships and provide support to the national team in these upcoming championships. The organization of this important sporting event is overseen by both the African and International Muay Thai Federations, with the support and sponsorship of the Ministry of Sports in the Government of National Unity, as part of the efforts made to develop combat sports and enhance Libya’s position on the continental and international maps in this sporting field.
