The Minister of Women’s Affairs in the Government of National Unity, Dr. Houria Al-Turmal, paid an official visit to the headquarters of the General Authority for Cinema, Theater, and Arts, where she was received by the head of the Authority and a number of senior officials. During the visit, the Minister participated in an important meeting with the preparatory committee tasked with commemorating the National Libyan Women’s Day events.
This visit aimed to strengthen the cooperation between the Ministry and the General Authority, and to support and enhance the active presence and participation of Libyan women in various fields of the cultural and artistic sector. During the meeting, Dr. Al-Turmal emphasized the importance of art as an influential and effective means of conveying the voice of women and their various issues to the widest segments of society, praising the efforts of the Authority in highlighting women’s creativity in all branches of the arts.
The Minister also toured the Authority’s headquarters, where she met with a number of female employees working in various departments, and reviewed the nature of the artistic programs and projects implemented by the Authority. For his part, the head of the General expressed his appreciation for this visit, affirming their full commitment to enhancing the women’s participation in arts.
