The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) has revealed the average overall production of its member states for March, based on delivery date records.
Data released this week illustrated that Libya’s average crude oil production reached approximately 1.262 million barrels per day as of March 25th, 2025, marking a decrease of 22,000 barrels.
Conversely, figures from Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC) for the same period indicated a daily production of 1.379 million barrels of crude oil, in addition to 51,196 barrels of condensate.
It is worth noting that OPEC was established in Baghdad in 1962, with Libya joining the organization in the same year. The bloc currently comprises 12 nations. Over the last decade, OPEC has pursued the formation of an international alliance known as “OPEC Plus,” spearheaded by Russia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in an effort by the organization to bolster its international presence and explore mechanisms for oil market stabilization.
