The Russian Ambassador to Libya, Mr. Aydar Aganin, paid an official visit to the headquarters of the Libyan Food and Drug Control Center. During this visit, the Russian Ambassador met with the Center Managing Director, Dr. Abdullah Al-Faqih, where in-depth discussions were held regarding mechanisms for joint cooperation in supplying Russian products to the Libyan market, meeting consumer needs and supporting economic diversification.
The discussions focused on a detailed review and explanation of the strict Libyan technical regulations and standards related to the import of food and pharmaceutical products, the two sides explored ways to reconcile the Libyan technical regulations with the standard criteria adopted in the Russian Federation, intending to facilitate the import process and ensure the safety and full suitability of Russian products for circulation and consumption within Libyan territory This important visit comes within the framework of ongoing close coordination efforts between the Libyan and Russian sides, which seek to overcome obstacles and facilitate the regulatory and technical procedures related to import and export operations between the two countries.
