Lieutenant General Mohammed al-Haddad, the General Staff Chief in the Western Region, along with the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense, Abdulsalam al-Zoubi, and the National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister, met on Sunday with the U.S. Ambassador to Libya, Richard Norland, and several U.S. military officials to explore avenues for enhancing military and security cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting, which was attended by a number of Libyan army commanders, addressed updates on partnerships in training, counter-terrorism, and combating illegal migration, underscoring the importance of joint coordination to confront security challenges in the region.
