Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, the General Commander of the Armed Forces, has inaugurated a series of service and development projects in Murzuq. He was accompanied at the ceremony by the Libyan Prime Minister, Osama Hammad, and the Director-General of the Reconstruction and Development Fund, Eng. Belqasim Haftar.
The inauguration witnessed the presence of several members of the House of Representatives, the two Deputy Prime Ministers, Ali Al-Qatrani and Khaled Al-Asta, alongside security and military leaders, a large gathering of the city’s residents, elders, and representatives from civil society organizations in Murzuq.
During the inauguration, 1,500 houses were handed over to their owners following their renovation from war damage. This initiative was implemented in accordance with the reconciliation agreement brokered by Field Marshal Haftar last September with Advisor Aguila Saleh and Hammad between the Tebu and the residents.
