Marshal Khalifa Haftar, the General Commander of the Libyan Armed Forces, received at his office in the General Command Headquarters an Italian government delegation, including the Italian Minister of Interior, Matteo Piantedosi, the Italian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Edmondo Cirielli, as well as the Italian Ambassador to Libya, Gianluca Alberini, and his accompanying delegation.
This meeting served as a platform for the exchange of views on the updates unfolding in Libya at both the domestic and regional levels. Furthermore, the discussions focused primarily on exploring and identifying effective ways to enhance cooperation between the State of Libya and the Republic of Italy in the security and economic spheres, in a manner that aligns with achieving the mutual interests of the two countries and contributes to supporting and strengthening security and stability throughout the entire region
