Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, the general commander of the Libyan Armed Forces, met with the Russian Defence Minister Andrei Belousov in Moscow, the Russian capital.
Discussions during the meeting centred on reviewing the latest regional developments, exploring avenues for strengthening military cooperation, and coordinating joint efforts between the two countries in a number of vital areas of mutual interest. During the meeting, Russian Minister Andrei Belousov expressed his deep appreciation for the pivotal role played by the General Commander of the Libyan Armed Forces in establishing security and stability within Libya. The Russian Minister also commended Field Marshal Haftar’s continued support for efforts to achieve regional stability and enhance regional security.
