Egypt’s Foreign Minister, Badr Abdel-Atti, emphasized Cairo’s complete support for national institutions in Libya during a phone call with his Turkish counterpart. He stressed the necessity of moving forward with presidential and parliamentary elections simultaneously and as soon as possible.
Minister Abdel-Atti reiterated his country’s commitment to preserving Libya’s unity and sovereignty and supporting efforts to achieve security and stability within the country.
The phone conversation between the two ministers addressed the evolving political and security situation in Libya, as well as discussing ways to enhance coordination between Egypt and Turkey on this issue in a manner that serves mutual interests and supports regional stability.
