Taher al-Ba’our, the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for Libya’s Government of National Unity, met with European Commissioner for the Mediterranean, Dubravka Šuica. The discussion occurred on the sidelines of the Third African-European Partnership Ministerial Meeting in Brussels.
The two officials explored ways to enhance cooperation within the Euro-Mediterranean partnership and activate mechanisms for regional integration. Their talks specifically focused on shared challenges such as illegal migration, sustainable development, food, water, and energy security. The meeting also aimed to build balanced partnerships between Africa and Europe based on mutual respect and shared interests.
