Commander-in-Chief affirms: Armed Forces will have the ‘decisive say’ in crucial moment

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, has affirmed that the military institution will remain fully prepared to protect the nation, emphasising that the Armed Forces will possess the “decisive say” in crucial moments, in defence of the country’s unity and sovereignty.
This assertion came in a speech delivered by Haftar during the celebration marking the eleventh anniversary of the launch of Operation Karama “Dignity”. In his address, he lauded the heroic role played by the Armed Forces in confronting terrorism, describing them as having “fought on behalf of the entire world” to rid Libya of extremist and destructive forces, praising the profound sacrifices made by the Armed Forces since the operation’s inception, considering the achievements in rebuilding and reorganising the military institution as “the fruit of an unyielding will and continuous efforts,” which has solidified its position as a reliable force both domestically and internationally.
In a related context, the Commander-in-Chief called upon all members of the Armed Forces to maintain the highest levels of readiness, to confront the growing challenges threatening Libya’s security and stability. He reiterated that the ultimate goal of the General Command is to restore the prestige of the Libyan state and unify all its institutions under the banner of stability, he concluded his speech by extending profound gratitude to the Libyan people for their continuous support of the military institution, reaffirming that Libya deserves every sacrifice and dedication from its sons for the sake of a secure and unified future.
