Border Guard units affiliated with the Joint Security Room in Mezda successfully apprehended 50 migrants of various African nationalities. This occurred during intensive desert patrols conducted in the rugged areas located between the Skreij and Nasma gates, passing through difficult terrains such as Wadi Marsit and Wadi Souf Al-Jine, acting on direct instructions from the Head of the Security Room, Major General Abdul Hakim Al-Khaitouni.
Immediately upon their apprehension, primary healthcare and essential humanitarian aid were provided to the migrants, following established standards for handling humanitarian cases. Following these procedures, the migrants were transferred to the Assa Shelter to complete the necessary legal processes.
These operations are part of a security plan aimed at tightening control over vast border areas and curbing smuggling and illegal migration activities.
